And I want you to think about it, too.
Yesterday, I spoke with two persons from AppSumo. They asked me about my business, what I had struggled with at the beginning. And what I did.
I honestly didn’t remember much about my struggle in 1995, haha. Probably to find the money for that 16-needle color printer I bought.
They also asked me what I bought at AppSumo.
Think about that question. Not just for AppSumo. But in general.
What do you buy?
What you buy defines your future.
Personally, I aim at never buying. Only investing.
And what I invest in are 3 things:
- Tools
- Automation
- Improving my skills
That’s it.
I’m a solopreneur and I want to stay that way.
Maybe I’ll hire someone to create a new homepage (and I have just THE guy for that, oh boy!).
But other than that, I prefer to do things myself.
That doesn’t mean that I love tedious tasks. On the contrary. I hate everything that is boring and repetitious.
That’s why I automate as much as I can.
As long as it’s nothing shady like using bots for social media (fake, fake, fake).
And I prefer to do my thinking for myself and not outsource it to the latest trend. I’m pro NI (Natural Intelligence).
I’ve been a solopreneur since 1995 and I willl NEVER EVER go back and get a job. Commuting every day, getting up when the alarm rings, leaving my dog home alone.
NO WAY!
Therefore I make sure to invest when it makes sense.
Invest, not buy.
Do you agree with me? Are you the same?
