Best Tool for Blogging

As a Blogger, I Wouldn’t Want to Be Without This Tool

This post may contain affiliate and ad links for which I earn commissions.

There are a few things you need as a blogger.

  • A platform – I use WordPress
  • A domain name
  • A web host

And then there are the tools that makes your life easier and better.

A Simple Spreadsheet

While I use Notion to keep myself accounted for doing the daily blogging tasks, it’s a spreadsheet that helps me stay organized.

I use Excel. I have a few columns in it with two formulas. That’s it.

This spreadsheet helps me keep track of my blog posts and what I’ve pinned on Pinterest.

It also helps me scheduling my pins to go out the right dates.

But It Does More Than That

In another spreadsheet, I keep track of keywords.

This is what I use to make sure I write the right blog posts. And I make sure to use two sources for my keywords: Google and Pinterest.

That way, I can assure that my blog posts are helping readers.

They aren’t just about random stuff I come up with. This helps me get ideas for blog posts. And it makes sure there is a need for the posts.

When there’s a need, there’s traffic.

My blog is still new. But I monetize it with AdSense and Amazon. For both purposes I need traffic.

When I have enough traffic, I’ll switch to another ad agency that pays more than Google AdSense.

I couldn’t do all this without a spreadsheet.

By the way, Guildies get access to both of these spreadsheets as Google Sheets inside The Bloggers Guild.

I want every guildie in there to reach success with their blogs.

So if there’s a tool I use, I’ll share it whenever I can.

What is your favorite tool for blogging?
