Are your chances better at a slot machine?

This post may contain affiliate and ad links for which I earn commissions.

Back when I quit my job in 1995 and started my own company, I learned that 9 out of 10 new companies didn’t make it.

That’s a 90% failure rate, and it means that there are higher chances of winning at a slot machine.

It didn’t make me quit, and I’m still here, meaning it can be done. You don’t even have to be a genius.

If I should point to one skill that is the most important one to have, then it’s the ability to sell. All other things are of minor importance.

  • If you don’t know how to sell, then even your fantastic product won’t convert.
  • If you don’t know how to sell, then forget about making affiliate commissions.

The good news is that real selling has nothing to do with what you see at a used car shop. In fact, modern “selling” methods are more about helping customers make the right decision. (That includes sometimes telling them not to buy.)

Online, most of our selling consists of written words, and we call those sellers “copywriters”.

One of the biggest copywriters, who writes for a lot of big names, is Ray Edwards. I sent you his book a couple of days ago, and now he’s offering a free course. It’s only available for a short time.

You’ll need to sign up to view it, but you’re not asked for any money. Use this as your chance to learn more about writing good copy, so you can sell your products, or the products you promote.

Forget about slot machines. There are better ways.
