An easy but difficult idea [SV #2]

It must have been in 2007 or so, and I got a mail from a subscriber with a very bright idea, he thought.

"What if I create a product and ask $1 for it, and everybody in the whole world bought my product. That would make me rich!"

Yes, indeed, and I like his micro-perspective (if that’s a word).

Making somebody pay $1 for a good product shouldn’t be hard, should it?

Nope.

That’s the easy part.

The hard parts are:

  • Coming up with an idea for a product that everybody would want.
  • Writing the sales letter to convince people this is a good product.
  • Showing them that the value is much higher than $1.
  • Reaching everybody on the planet.

The first and the last of the above parts are probably the hardest.

But let’s assume that this guy really managed to create a product everybody would want.

How would you reach everybody on the planet?
