Spread out before focus

Hi 🙂

Warning: This might not at all fit you…

My child-hood friend always wanted to become a vet. She didn’t have high enough grades, so when she was 17 she started an education as lab assistant.

And when I last saw her, 15 years ago, she was still working as a lab assistant. She probably still is now, almost 40 years later.

Some people have been able to focus all their lives.

I haven’t.

I wanted to be a:

  • Ballet dancer
  • Journalist
  • Psychiatrist
  • Novellist

And I started an education in a bank, studied medicin and worked 10 years in a supermarket, been a secretary and book keeper for a lawyer…

So I didn’t exactly grow up with focus.

Spread Out on the Internet (First)

When I started on the Internet back in 1996 I had a homepage and an email account. Later I heard that traffic was good, but you had to pay for it. I was confused…

A fellow author made money with banners on his site and I made him give me tips about that. Then came AdSense…

I’ll spare you for my full history, but in short: I spread out a lot.

That’s not all bad… Yes, focus is what you need to get to the next level, but before you focus, you need to have an idea about what to focus on.

And to know that you have to dabble in the different areas of Internet marketing and making money online.

Tomorrow, I’ll write more about the possible directions you can take before you pick your area to focus on.

Best regards,
Britt Malka

P.S. What crazy profession did you choose when you were a child?
