It doesn’t have to be related to Internet marketing…
I have a couple of things I would like to play around with, and they are both slightly related to Internet marketing. At least, they might turn out to be helpful.
Let me tell you about my plans. It might give you ideas to come up with new hobbies yourself.
I Want to Learn Illustrator
Every time I work even just a little bit with graphics, it makes me happy. It’s so satisfying 🙂
I’ve played around with [amazon asin=B007S02Y6I&text=Illustrator&chan=default] several years ago (I have the ancient CS3 version), and I had so much fun following this guide:

In 2013 I want to get better at using Illustrator. I’m not going to turn it into a career, but I might use my own creations as illustrations to blog posts.
The kitten you see in this blog post was one I made in 2008 with Illustrator.
I Want to Make WordPress Plugins
I used to do quite a lot of PHP programming, but I haven’t done so lately. WordPress is hot and fun. And I want to at least discover a little bit about how to make plugins to this awesome blogging platform.
There are several Amazon books that teach how to make WordPress plugins.

I want to learn to paint. A year ago I bought paint supplies (basic acrylics) and never touched them haha. I’m going to start out with some basic youtube videos to follow and see if I like it enough to pursue more!

I make stained glass too – some of my pieces are featured on http://www.squidoo.com/stainedglassartwork
but painting has always been something I wished I could do – time to turn that into a reality 🙂
Oh your hobbies sound terrifying to this non technical girl. LOL! Not sure what hobby I’m undertaking but trying hard to work on fiction skills 😉
Haha, yeah, I was probably always a nerd.
My father sold accounting machines, before computers existed. He had never learned anything about computers, but he could watch a list of hex numbers and tell the programmers were the error was. I’ve seen him do it. Weird.
Writing stories came easy to me when I was a child. Until highschool, in fact, I loved to write stories and adventures. Then highschool did what it could to kill my imagination. After that, I’ve written a few stories, but I peck a lot of myself, when I do it, now: “This is not good enough. This is boring. Nobody is going to like it. Ha, and how will you figure out what will be going on in the middle of the story, eh? You’re just the most lousy fiction writer in the world.”
I’m a lousy graphic designer as well, but I don’t mind. I’m having fun 🙂
I think it’s great that you’ve started to write fiction. Way to go!
