What’s on your mind when you think about getting traffic to your blog? My first thought when it comes to traffic is either getting paid traffic, or write blog comments, or do social media posts to get new visitors.
But traffic can be more than new visitors. Traffic can be previous blog visitors coming back to check your blog again.
How do you get that kind of traffic?
Below I’m sharing a few ideas with you.
People Love to Be Heard
People just love to be heard. So let them speak, and you’ll have them returning to your blog.
Make sure that it’s possible to leave a comment to your blog posts. Make it easy to write a comment. Yes, it’s true, there’s a lot of spam coming to the blogs, but anyway, don’t force people to signup as a member, before they can write a comment.
The desire to write a comment often comes as an impulse. If you kill it immediately by not allowing people to write at once, but force them to sign up first, confirm etc., many will prefer not to write. They’ll just go away and not bother you again. I know it. When I first started blogging, I only allowed members to write comments, and I rarely got any. I’ve also tried being on the other site: Wanting to leave a comment, but not wanting to take the time to join.
Ask Your Visitor a Question
If you want some comments, you can always ask your readers a question and encourage them to answer in the comments.
Write Serials
Why not write several related blog posts and end them with cliffhangers to ensure that your readers come back to read your follow-up posts?
