[Affiliate Marketing] Tip: What do you love?

This post may contain affiliate and ad links for which I earn commissions.

Yesterday, I read a mail from a marketer who was annoyed by some affiliate marketers.

The problem was that some new affiliate marketers asked: How can we find products to promote?

And the old affiliate marketers told them about ClickBank gravity, ratings, refunds etc.

Why would he find this annoying?

Well, according to him, not one person said: Buy the product or get a review copy and see for yourself how it is.

I agree with him about this.

And I will take it one step further:

Love the product.

Not only THAT specific product, but the whole niche.

Because reviewing products can take hours, just to go through one single product.

If you hate it, then … well, in that case you could just as well work at a job.

There are affiliates who disagree with me on that point.

There are affiliates who takes a product, runs with it, post the swipe files (the emails the vendor have written), and then make a living that way.

I’m not one of them, and I don’t want to teach you to become one of them.

So if you want to be an honest affiliate, then love thy niche as thyself 😉

And only promote the products you love, too.

Oh, by the way, the marketer who inspired me has so far made me buy two products I didn’t like very much.

Does that mean he’s a cheater? That he just promotes anything that can earn him a commission?

Nope. It just means that I disagree with him.

What I find is a good product that inspires me, is not necessarily a good product for everyone.

But after a while you can tell by the tone of the mails whether an affiliate is honest or not.

So will your readers be able to tell if you know the products you promote, or you just picked up the swipe files and mailed them out.

Another reason to stay honest 😉

Right, I’m going to step down from my soap box now.

Best regards,
Britt Malka

P.S. Remember: Love thy niche. Love the products you promote.
