“If you have any tip on affiliate marketing, pls share.”
That’s what a Facebook friend asked me.
Well, Facebook chats don’t exactly leave a lot of room for that kind of stuff, and even a mail is far from enough to discover what there is to know about affiliate marketing.
Many years ago, I started buying books about affiliate marketing. And I haven’t stopped.
Not like to stop, either.
Why?
Can there really be so much to say about affiliate marketing?
Oh, yes, because affiliate marketing is not something you can learn through a job description.
It’s not a combine-the-dots task.
You cannot set up rules like:
1: Pick up item.
2: Paint item blue.
3: Let item dry.
Because affiliate marketing is not about items. Or products.
It’s about human beings.
Okay, I’ll give you a tip:
Promote only good products that will help your readers.
That means that you have to read/watch/try the product you recommend – or if it’s Amazon products – do your research and read what people are saying about it.
If it’s information products, then get it, read it, do it.
And if it’s bad, tell your readers so. Don’t promote it, just because it could give you a nice commission.
Okay, that’s it for today’s tip.
I’ve been spending most of the day reading about a dog breed. Can you believe it? I used to dislike dogs 😀 Well, that was until we got Tikva, whom we sadly lost 2 1/2 years ago.
I found a great site with dog training products, which made me think of affiliate marketing…
Have a great weekend 🙂
Best regards,
P.S. More affiliate marketing tips tomorrow.
