[Affiliate] This one word will kill your sales

This post may contain affiliate and ad links for which I earn commissions.

Hi 🙂

Did you know that there is one everyday word that will kill sales for you, if you use it?

That’s right.

One normal innocent looking word can do a lot of damage.

Before I tell you what word that is, I’ll tell you why it’s so harmful.

Words are not simply words.

They can be weapons.

When I say “chair”, what do you think of?

You might be visualising a cozy chair you could relax in for hours.

Or you might see a hard wooden chair for your inner eye.

What if I say “house-cleaning”?

You will probably visualize yourself lying on all four, scrubbing the floor. Hard work ahead!

My point is that many words will lighten up an inner movie when we hear it or see it.

We associate certain things with words.

Some are neutral, some are pleasant, and some are unpleasant.

Take the word “learn”.

For me this is a pleasant word. I love learning.

But a lot of people associate learning with hard work, maybe bad grades in school, stupid teachers…

All things unpleasant.

That’s why using the word “learn” in your mails or on your pre-sell page can kill your affiliate sales.

No more “by reading this book you will learn how to…”

What should you use instead?

Use a Thesaurus to come up with alternatives, if you cannot think of any yourself.

Some examples are: discover, find out, figure out, see, grasp, master, pick up…

Make it sound easy. People love easy 🙂

That’s it for today.

More tips about affiliate marketing tomorrow.

Best regards,
Britt Malka

P.S. I hope you “learned” something from this mail 😉
