Review of “The Video Marketer’s Guide” by Joey Xoto (part 1)

By Britt Malka | Affiliate Marketing , Traffic

Hi there 🙂 In this blog post, I will tell you why I’m reviewing Joey Xoto’s “The Video Marketer’s Guide“, and how I know him. I’ll tell you what you get (the main product), and what I think about it. If you have any questions at all about this product, then please ask. You can do so in the comments or use the contact form, if you prefer that.

Let’s get started.

Why This Review of “The Video Marketer’s Guide”?

Although I rarely do videos, I know that they are important, and that they many time convert better than text. By convert I mean getting the sales or any kind of action, you go for.

I decided to review it when a friend said that she considered buying it. I’ve seen other products that tells you how to do video marketing. Would this one be better? Worse? The same?

What’s My Connection to Joey Xoto

Joey XotoSometimes I know the product creators beforehand, when I start out to do a review. Sometimes I don’t. In this case, I should have known Joey Xoto. Why? Because he contacted me last year in november, and we connected through Skype, but then we never really got to talk for some reason.

When my friend wrote something about this course, I immediately remembered Joey Xoto and contacted him and got a review copy.

So I had no previous knowledge about him, other than I remembered his picture and his name.

“Niche Review Website Blueprint” – Review and Case Study Part 3

By Britt Malka | Affiliate Marketing , Money Online

Make money on autopilot

Hi again 🙂 I got up very early today to have plenty of time to work on this project.

Yesterday, I finished the first three steps (and you can read about it in part 2 of my review here). So I started out today by adding my new domain to my webhosting. Normally, I can see it immediately after online, but for some reason the DNS change still haven’t taken place. They say it can take 24-48 hours (19 hours now), but it usually happens in a few minutes.

Oh, well, I guess this will teach me patience.

So, let’s get on to today’s steps.

“Niche Review Website Blueprint” – Review and Case Study Part 2

By Britt Malka | Affiliate Marketing , Money Online

Hi again 🙂 I’m going to continue my review on “Niche Review Website Blueprint” and make it a case study at the same time. You can find part 1 here.

In his first video, step 1, Kurt Chrisler spends 12:57 explaining the best way to find potential products to review.

Nrb

He says that we’re not limited to Amazon. In fact, you can also use AdSense, Commission Junction (CJ), ClickBank, and others.

He tells us that some of his sites make $200 per month on auto-pilot, and then he gives us tips to find things that area off the radar (which means low competition) and which people would still buy online.

In this video, he shows us several ways that we can find these products. He mentions price and ratings, but doesn’t go into detail with it. I later discovered that he came back to this questions in step 2.

I will do the action steps for the first video now, and then continue with the second video below.

“Niche Review Website Blueprint” by Kurt Chrisler – Case Study and Review of Amazon Affiliate Course (part 1)

By Britt Malka | Affiliate Marketing , Money Online

Niche Review Website Blueprint

Hi there 🙂 Do you want to know an embarrassing fact about me? Here we go: I became an Amazon affiliate in 1998, maybe earlier. The earliest record I could find dates back to 1998. I’ve been an Amazon affiliate for so long time that my ID doesn’t end in -20. No, there’s nothing wrong with that. The issue that makes me blush is that except from a few dollars here and there, it was only last year in October that I started to make more serious money on Amazon.

When I started out in 1998, I wrote about the products (books and DVDs) we bought on Amazon, but I wrote to a Danish audience, and most Danes didn’t trust online commerce back then, much less buying from a store far, far away from Denmark.

So I gave it up and started to sell other affiliate products.

Now I’m back on Amazon, and when I get my hands on products, showing more about how to make money with the Amazon partner program, I’m all ears and eyes.

Kurt Chrisler (whom I didn’t know beforehand) contacted me to tell me about his latest product, “Niche Review Website Blueprint“, and I asked him for a review copy and got it.

Now, if at all possible, I don’t just read and say “oh, this looks good”. I prefer to try out the methods I learn about, and that’s what I’m going to do here as well.

So follow along with me, while I test the value of this product with a mixed review / case study.

First of all, let me tell you what we should expect from this product, and what you get.

[Case Study] – Day 5 – Better Squidoo Rankings for My Old Lenses

By Britt Malka | Affiliate Marketing , Money Online

Top 5 of my Squick challenge lensesHi there 🙂 It’s already the last day of this mini-challenge, and Debi J and I came up with an idea for a new one 😉 Much easier this time, and very different, but I’ll tell you more about that later.

Squidoo has updated their rankings, and I was pleased to see that my 20 case study lenses have increased their rankings.

They now rank from #27,769 to #77,605 – this means 20 new money-makers, since they are all well above the 85,000 marker. Yay!

What’s that about ranking? And why does it matter?

If you’ve bought Squick Money: 15-Minute Squidoo System from me, and joined the mailing list, you’ll get a mail about that topic (it’s the 4th mail of the series), and how to improve your ranking (in mail #5).

And now on to my five last lenses in this mini-challenge:

[Case Study] – Day 4 – Updates and Five New Lenses

By Britt Malka | Affiliate Marketing , Money Online

Hi there 🙂 Wow, day four already! Can you believe it?

Today’s theme is pens, pencils and erasers, plus something I just love. Can’t help it 😉 It’s crazy, I know… I love both aspects of them: the color and the item.

But let’s get to the facts. Let’s see how my “old” lenses are doing, traffic-wise and click-wise. I don’t expect any income, yet, but you’ll never know. I hope Amazon will update their stats before I’m done writing this blog post.

Why Are People Asking “Is Squidoo a Scam”?

By Britt Malka | Affiliate Marketing , Money Online

Is squidoo a scam

Hi there 🙂 I’ll get straight to the point in this blog post, before you start thinking that I’m riding a fading wave by using the words “is Squidoo a scam” in the headline.

Truth is that I was stunned when I did some keyword research and saw that there were exact searches for that phrase. (Squidoo scam: 320 global monthly – Is Squidoo a scam: 12 global monthly).

My thoughts were: Are you kidding? These people (Google’s keyword research results) must be kidding. Nobody in their right minds would be asking that, would they?

I mean, asking that question would be like asking “is Blogger a scam” or “is WordPress a scam”. Hey, wait, maybe people are, but I’m not going to investigate it. If they are, they truly have a problem.

So why are people asking that about Squidoo? I have a suggestion.
