An honest view on Internet marketing

In a world filled with boasting gurus, I was happy to discover something different.

It’s a long-time marketer, but not the usual “I-make-millions-of-dollars-and-I-made-my-clients-millions-of-dollars-and-I-am-so-good”.

What I’ve seen so far is great content, open shares, good advice. I pay a monthly subscription to get that, and a couple of days ago, I bought all the issues from 2015, which would normally cost $204 for only $27.

How to make money without a list or homepage (really?)

When I was around 10-years-old, my best-friend’s parents owned a supermarket.

One of only two supermarkets in the town I grew up in.

Jette and I got a great idea.

What if we made our own minimarket? Her parent’s shop was called Spar Supermarket. We figured we could call it “Spares MiniMarket” (don’t ask).


Of course, we had neither building nor money, nor customers for that matter, but what if we just set up a stand? A couple of wooden boxes, and then squat the triangle of grass at the end of the road.

What could possibly go wrong?

In my defense, I want to point out that we were only 10.

But what makes adults hope, today, that you can make more than spare change without having list or homepage?

It’s truly like wanting a grocery store, but without renting or buying the space.

If that’s you, then please think about the following questions:


Are you afraid of something?

And if so, what scares you from getting a place on the Internet you can call yours? And from there start a list?

Sure, you can make money without homepage or list. But the potential isn’t big.

If you want to make a substantial income, you need both.

But it’s okay to start slow. In fact, it’s more than okay.

You learn more by going slow.

And by doing small daily assignments.

Make emails your playground

Who else wants boring emails?


Me neither.

So why don’t we all play around with our emails?

Today, I discovered a tool that makes it easy.

You can use it to add personalized images (adding the receiver’s name to the image for example).

You can add surveys and when the subscriber clicks he’ll be redirected to a URL of your choice.

You can add video directly to your mails.

And you can add a countdown counter (is that a word?) to count down to the end of your deal, or the end of your free book, or even make evergreen counters.

Pretty cool, that tool 🙂

But it’s only available for a week.

How to get traffic without solo ads

If you’re not keen on using solo ads to get traffic to your offers, I fully understand.

I have my doubts about the quality, too.

This morning, I got up 4am to write fiction, but in one of my breaks, I bought an interesting product.

It’s interesting, because the product creator, Kevin Fahey, shares his own story openly.

Just like everybody else, he dreamed about making money online.

But here all resemblance of everybody else stops.

Kevin took action. He bought solo-ads. He built his list into many, many thousands of subscribers. He even became a solo-ad vendor, too.

He made money. $10,000 and more per month.

And then it all crashed. Open rates went down. Buyers unsubscribed. Vendors wouldn’t allow him to promote their products.

He had to change plans.

And that’s what his “Solo Ad Escape” is about. Getting back.

He took his business from $5,000 per month to $20,000 per month, and his claim is that you can do the same.

The product consists of a PDF ebook, which is really good. No hype, no screaming income-claim pictures. Just plain full of his experience, good and bad, and advice.

Even down to details like how you can organize your Skype contacts.

I was very happy that I decided to buy this.

There are also videos included in the product. Only four. And they are all about how you can buy traffic (he says he can get leads for a few cents with his method) and how you integrate your autoresponder and more.

Drive automatic traffic to your sites

There’s traffic and there’s traffic.

All traffic is not equal, as you probably know.

When the traffic itself is free, and you don’t have to work for it, I say “thank you very much”.

Today, I set up two campaigns that drive Pinterest traffic to two of my sites. It’s working already!

Before I tell you where you can learn more, let me explain what you can use that kind of traffic for.

  • Selling stuff? Maybe. Only maybe. It can work.
  • Getting new subscribers? Absolutely.
  • Making money from ads like Google AdSense? Oh, yes.

So by using this tool (which runs on Mac or Windows), you can set up campaigns (takes a few minutes) and then make money, literally on auto-pilot.

People rave about it. My antivirus messed up things, so I didn’t manage to start up the app until today, or I could have given you concrete results.

Dress up in a knit sack and create that product

Actually, when I went through a phase recently where I felt out of energy and not like working much, instead of just wasting time (which I hate), I did some research on how to get over procrastination.

I wrote down every tip that worked for me, and I found others that did the trick and tested them myself.

And by doing one little thing every day to get back in the flow, I did it.
