What Should You Blog About?

By Britt Malka | Money Online

As mentioned earlier you can get inspiration from titles in papers and magazines, when you are looking for subjects to blog about, and here are some suggestions:

* If you blog about gadgets, and a new iPhone has come out, write about it. This should be quite obvious.
* If you blog about celebreties, and Britney Spears shave her head, then blog about it.
* If you blog about making money online, and you learn about something new that can make profits, blog about it.
* If you blog about cats, and you read about a cat safe keyboard, blog about it.

People love news! But don’t just copy some news and put it on your blog. Write about it in your own tone of voice, or use your own introduction, if you quote something from another blog.

Remember: Be personal in your postings. Speak out.

Inspiration For Your Blog – Get A Blog Pad

By Britt Malka | Money Online

One of the most reputated and well-known pro-bloggers is Darren Rowse. He makes well over $14,000 a month, but for the last four years he has written 14 blog postings a day, seven days a week. This guy is really serious about blogging. But less can do it, if you do it in your spare time.

How about two postings a day? Six days a week? Couldn’t you do that, you suppose?

But how do you find inspiration for two posts a day that people would want to read?

In The Supermarked

Each time you are in the supermarked or in a kiosk you should check the titles on the frontpage of newspapers and magazinez. Are there any that has to do with your subject? If papers and magazines put it on the front page there are big changes that this would be of interest for people. Of course, you should not write exactly the same, but it could inspire you to a blog posting.

Talk to others. What are they interested in? What do you have in common? For us it happens often that we talk about something exiting at the dinner table, and most probably there would be something to blog about afterwards.

Remember What You Want To Blog About

Here comes the difficult part: I’ve ofte – quite often, actually – thought: THIS I’ll blog about. And then I’ve totally forgotten what is was that inspired me. Too bad!

Therefore you should buy a little note pad you can have with you all the time. Use a small ballpen or pencil with it. Use it extensively every time you get inspired. Then you can pick and choose between your ideas and easily write your two postings a day.

It works for me!

Are You Blogging Only To Make Money?

By Britt Malka | Money Online

Today I read in a blog that we all blogged to make money. But do we really? And do we have to?

If you only blog to make money, and always make sure to have the right keywords in the title and in the text, the content risks to be stiff and boring. Result = Your guests are leaving, and you make no money.

It’s much better to blog to pass on experiences, news, information, etc.

Write, write, write!

When you have written the draft, you can start thinking about having keywords in the title and in the text, but don’t overdo it. Use it to bring variation into your language. Let’s say that you are writing about how to make money on the net. In order not to use the same phrases over and over again, you can alternate between “make money online”, “earn money on the Internet”, “make profits online” etc. This is not to stuff the text with as many keywords as possible, but to vary your language.

Read the text aloud. Does it sound stiff and boring? Or alive and interessting? Only when the latter is the case should you push Publish.
